I am always on the lookout for new local music, annnd Im a huge fan of the funk! So when I got a heads up for the newest EP from Pleasure Boys I was JACKED.

   Their sound is fresh and yet familiar, very Thin Lizzyish but with modern relatable energy of punk icons like PUP and Jeff Rosenstock. This combination creates something truly unique and has the Alberta feel I love. You can hear this brilliant mix in their two most recent singles, Chile and Razor Hag. These tracks are packed with jaw-dropping guitar dynamics pique a 90 summer nostalgia all while maintaining a verve and modernity that makes you want to grooooove. The band promises an abundance of ‘guitarmonies,’ and they deliver in the best way possible, the funky way!
