REVIEW - BRIDGITTE EVE - STICHES OF THE HEART

Working with AltYEG Music comes with its perks, and one of the BEST is getting to hear some of the newest music Canada has to offer. So when I was asked to review Brigitte Eve’s new EP, Stitches of the Heart, I didn’t hesitate for a second I dove straight into the EPK and hit play. Brigitte, an Ontario artist steadily making waves across Canada, brings a sound that fans of Aurora and Lorde will immediately gravitate toward, while still carving out something distinctly her own.
Stitches digs into love, loss, and the messy, necessary process of rebuilding yourself. It’s an EP sewn together from memories, confessions, and the kind of emotional honesty that doesn’t hide the bruises. Even a year after its release, the project still feels fresh a testament to Brigitte’s ability to pair sharp, vulnerable lyricism with guitar work that’s both delicate and deliberate. Each of the three tracks stands on its own, yet they connect seamlessly, forming a unified message of growth and self‑reclamation.
This is a deeply personal record, but it hits with surprising universality. Gen Z listeners raised on infinite scroll and algorithmic chaos will feel especially seen, but the themes cut across age and background. The accompanying music videos add even more emotional weight. As a visual learner, I love when artists give us another layer to interpret, and as someone who films regularly, I know how much work goes into making visuals that actually elevate the music. Brigitte pulls it off.
With the world (and yes, the province ugh) being what it is, Canadian music feels more vital than ever. This is our culture, our voice, and Brigitte Eve is shaping up to be one of the artists carrying that torch forward. It takes grit and patience to break through as a solo act, but she’s clearly on the right path.
Find her on all major streaming platforms, hit like and subscribe it genuinely helps the algorithm and if you get the chance, catch her live. She’s one of the ones worth showing up for.
