Relatively new to the scene Dismania hit the YYC scene during the summer of 2023. Dismania offers a different taste of hardcore punk to the Calgary music scene. Their style can only be broken apart with deep admiration of classic Punk roots and newer metalcore elements and inspiration from many iconic bands including Type O Negative. A part of being in the local Music scene is watching bands bring their own style and characteristics to the scene, offering different perspectives on what it means to be an artist and performer. I personally cannot wait to see Dismania develop their music and further form the Calgary local music scene specifically within the Punk community.
