Another great show at The Dive Bar by Blondiepresents happened last night and we even got a killer performance from the Toronto Punk band The Slime to an Edmonton stage. Two great reasons to check out a show, The Dive Bar is one of the best in local music venues while Blondiepresents always has a great lineup and knows how to promote local talent. Last night was no exception, Vector 23, The Cutoffs and The Slime brought their best and despite some technical difficulties the show was a blast. The crowd was a great mix of ages but the metal crowd turned out! And as usual there was a great and safe vibe.
Vector 23 had a short but intense set with some amazing vocals and rocking supporting band that definitely knew what they were doing. Check out some vids on our Instagram for a taste of their flair or catch them live at their next show. With a mix of originals and covers this group is one to watch in the upcoming years.
The Cutoffs followed but showed Edmonton they were second to no one. A nice mature rock/punk band the talent was apparent and I even got a copy of their latest album, well two actually so pay attention were having another Album giveaway. Spoopy skeletons, pentagrams and long hair filled the stage while the crowd got one hell of a show. Definitely a local group to keep an eye on.
By the time The Slime took the stage the venue was packed and they did not disappoint! From Toronto they slammed it, took names and showed us why they headlined the show. Want more from them? Check out our artist profile on them and pick up a copy of their latest album Living on Borrowed Slime out NOW.
