Starting off strong Frog Sex took the stage blasting out a killer set of covers including Nirvana and a screamo pop version of Jolene. Shouting out to the bands moms was a class act and the crowd showed how much they dug that. Despite the name all members are in fact mamels, and quite talented ones at that.
Absent Minds drummer is working overtime! Furious energy on the drum set while doing vocals. This matches perfectly with the working class vibes from the rest of the band and a shows we've come to expect from Project 23. Hit fast and hit heavy, moshtacular parties.
Doing what they do best MomWeed took the stage with their new bassist, shared with Absent Minds and doing double duty. Fresh tunes belted out of the Jazz Master got the crowd moving. Special note, their first live show wasn't too long ago last year at the same venue. The Aviary definitely holds a special place in the scenes heart.
New to me Toxic Fem closed out the night hard! with a set to remember. The crowd reciprocated the love setting the scene for another great evening of local music. Next time your watching TV on a boring Weds night mayyyyybe come down to thw Aviary and see what Edmonton has to offer.
